I knew that when I was going to Paris, I had to take out a day to visit Versailles. I went early on in the day, and even then there was a long queue to get in. Luckily, it was all worth it – what an amazing place!
I bought the ticket that included everything, as I was especially interested in the part with the Hall of Mirrors and Marie Antoinette’s village. The Hall was absolutely spectacular, and luckily not too full of people when I was there.
Isn’t it gorgeous?! The view outside over the gardens wasn’t half bad either.
But first, let me take a selfie..
Versailles is unbelievably large.! I spent a good amount of time seeing all I could of the rest of the castle before I went outside to the gardens.
Loved those feathers at the top of the bed.
Finally outside! It had become a really nice and warm day, so I was happy to walk around, and the somewhat long walk out to Marie Antoinette’s village was really pleasant too.
Is this idyllic or what?! Loved this part of the grounds.
This is Marie Antoinette’s village on the Versailles grounds. It is a whole, real village with old-fashioned houses and it is just so cute.

It’s like it’s right out of a fairytale.
I was really happy that I went to Versailles. I had been warned that you could spend all day there, but I probably spent around 4 hours there and saw all that I wanted to.. but maybe I’m just a fast tourist. It wasn’t too difficult to get there from Paris, the train station is really close to Versailles and it’s easy to find.
